Breathwork

Breathwork is the practice of consciously using the breath to support healing, balance, and transformation. By moving beyond the shallow, automatic rhythms of daily life, breathwork opens the body and mind to deeper states of awareness, clarity, and vitality.

The practice has ancient roots. Yogic pranayama in India, Taoist breathing arts in China, and indigenous traditions across the world all recognized breath as a bridge between body, mind, and spirit. In Greek, the word pneuma means both “breath” and “spirit”—a reminder that connecting with our breath is also a way of connecting with our essence.

In modern times, several schools of breathwork have developed. Many people are familiar with the Wim Hof Method, which combines specific breathing cycles with cold exposure and physical conditioning. While powerful, Wim Hof’s method is only one form. Other approaches, such as circular or rebirthing breathwork, focus instead on continuous, gentle breathing patterns that allow the nervous system to soften, stored emotions to release, and inner peace to emerge.

Today, breathwork is widely used for stress relief, emotional release, trauma integration, spiritual exploration, and simply reconnecting with the present moment. Whether experienced in a group or private session, it offers an accessible yet profound path to healing and self-discovery—one breath at a time.

A man with a beard and short hair, wearing a blue checkered shirt, sits against a plain white wall, looking at the camera with a slight smile. Bradley Michael Wrigley, founder of Elasia Wellness Studios. Practitioner of breathwork. Indianapolis.
  • Bradley Michael Wrigley is a breathwork practitioner trained directly under Zach Rehder, whose lineage traces back to Leonard Orr, the founder of Rebirthing Breathwork. Rooted in this tradition, Brad carries forward a practice designed to open pathways of release, healing, and renewal through the simple yet profound power of conscious breathing.

His own journey with breathwork began in Big Cottonwood Canyon, where an unexpected encounter with the practice shifted the course of his life. What started as a personal exploration soon became a calling: to help others experience the same clarity, peace, and reconnection that breath brought to him.

Brad’s approach is both grounded and compassionate. He creates a safe, supportive container for each session—guiding participants through circular breathing techniques that soften stress, dissolve stored emotions, and invite access to deeper states of awareness. His work is not only about the breath itself, but about the transformation that comes when people discover how much life opens up when they truly breathe.

Whether in private sessions, group workshops, or immersive retreats, Brad invites clients to explore their inner landscape with curiosity and courage—discovering, breath by breath, the freedom and vitality that have always been within them.

Alongside his loving partner, he is the co-founder of Elasia Wellness Studios.
